Regal Technology Road Maps
Discovering the Regal path towards an efficient and stable infrastructure
The Regal Technology Road Map is a tool
used to review an organization’s current infrastructure and applications –
utilizing acquired information to implement a suited map for the progression of
their IT departments and infrastructure as a whole. Regal is able to take a
snapshot, detailing the complete summary of the current environment, and future
developments, for the next 60 months - all on a single Visio page.

This stage of the Regal TRMs highlights
certain projects to be completed by the IT department staff and contractors.
Next to each project heading is the person and/or company that will be
responsible for the work. Regal IT recommends that everyone involved with the
network, hardware, software and systems all attend.
Through the process of Regal’s TRMs,
organizations will gain a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities in
terms of whole departments, as well as those of individual team members.
These Road Maps, in the form of single page
documents, can be passed up the organization - highlighting the work and value
of the IT department. We recommend the process be conducted on a quarterly
basis with the team. Once projects are completed they are removed from the TRM,
with new projects added and existing projects reprioritized.
The session is run by Regal IT but all the
input comes from the team. We are only the facilitators in the exercise and
will only make comments based on best practice and product knowledge. We
typically need about 3-4 hours for the first session and further sessions will
be no longer than 2 hours.
