Mark is the face of Regal IT. His roles at Regal IT include managing their vendor relationships – both local and overseas and overseeing Regal’s marketing, sales and business development. Regal IT’s customers are looking for a solution, not a product – Mark develops the go-to market strategy – he goes to the market, finds the best of breeds technologies from a solution point of view – including both technical, business and budget – then by “Regal-izing” it, incorporates Regal IT’s key vendors (of which we have a great relationship with) to provide the best service and solution to Regal’s clients. His sales experience allows him to manage the sales team efficiently - strategically helping the team with direction, coaching and training .Mark is a strong believer in Regal IT’s consulting methodology, their expertise (and maintaining this through extensive training) and long term relationships with their customers.
Mark has been in sales and business development for 25 years. From 1984 Mark worked in South Africa for Chemelite as Business Development Manager for 10 years through to General Manager, responsible for sales and operations nationally. In 1994 he moved with his family to Australia, establishing a joint-venture in Newcastle, NSW. Then in 1996, Mark moved to Perth as the State Manager for Ipex, where he developed relationships for key vendors that Regal IT has in place today, furthering his BDM and operations experience in medium-large enterprise space. The tides changed in 2000 as he moved back to Sydney – joined Professional Advantage in a Business Development role, meeting his future business partner, David, increasing his business experience but more importantly - setting foundations for Regal IT through his relationships with key vendors. In 2001 Mark put his expertise to practice, co-founding Regal IT with a dedication focus on using prior experience and strong relations to healthily establish Regal Information Technology as an upcoming market leader with their key vendors.
Mark is qualified with a Bachelor of Computer Science and National High Diploma of Electrical Engineering (LC). He is an experienced Sandler Sales Practitioner and has achieved numerous Business and marketing diplomas. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM).
